Alumni Career Services provides the following services to Penn State alumni. Some services are exclusive to members of the Penn State Alumni Association, as indicated below.

Lion Link LionLink is a LinkedIn-style networking program exclusive to Penn Staters, where you can connect with alumni who can answer your career questions, provide valuable insights and facilitate formal and informal mentoring opportunities. LionLink also offers resources including prerecorded webinars on job search topics, tips on effective networking, and articles about résumé writing, cover letters, graduate school applications, and more. Available to all students and alumni at alumni.psu.edu/lionlink.
Nittany Lion Careers Nittany Lion Careers is Penn State’s job board for students and alumni. Employers can post full-time open positions and internship opportunities. Students and alumni can apply for relevant positions, and create a career profile, and upload résumés and employment documents to make completing online applications easier. Job Search Webinars* One-hour webinars covering current trends and best practices. Gain insights needed to write an effective résumé and inform employers about your skills through social media including LinkedIn. Understand how to communicate value to potential employers or summarize current work to reflect knowledge and skills for professional development. Upcoming Webinars
Virtual Office Hours Contact Alumni Career Services during "office hours" for information on appropriate services or to have specific questions addressed by a career expert. These 1:1 IM chats typically last 10 minutes, and participants may be referred to additional resources as needed. Register on our events page so we know to expect you.
Nittany Networking Events* Grow your network by reconnecting with other Penn Staters and meeting new people. Events typically feature a speaker, ample networking opportunities, food, door prizes and even some Penn State swag. Events are held in various cities and are often co-sponsored with Penn State alumni groups. See what's coming up on our events page.
InterviewPrep InterviewPrep lets you practice and prepare for any job interview with just a computer/webcam or tablet. Use it to independently review and refine your interviewing skills. Visit http://psu.interviewprep.app.
1:1 Career Coaching* Alumni Association members can consult with a career coach to develop, implement, or evaluate a career change, job search, or educational plan. Other resources and services from Alumni Career Services or other Penn State offices often factor into these plans. Typically, members can develop and implement their career plans in three sessions or fewer. Please start by reviewing the resources in LionLink on topics such as preparing a résumé and networking. This minimizes the need to cover basic information and enable you to get more specific guidance.
Professional Document Review All alumni can submit a résumé for a quick review through Nittany Lion Careers. More in-depth reviews are available to alumni who attend a résumé writing webinar. Alumni Career Services also critiques LinkedIn profiles for members who attend a LinkedIn writing webinar. Alumni Association members can also submit cover letters, graduate school personal statements, and other job-search communications for detailed review. Please start by reviewing the relevant resources in LionLink. This minimizes the need to cover basic information and enables you to get more specific and detailed feedback from your review.
Alumni Job Search Tune-Up Job Search Tune Up is free to Alumni Association members who are seeking job opportunities, whether they are recent graduates or seasoned professionals. The online training includes regularly scheduled webinars, exclusive access to self-directed job search materials, and professional career advice. To register: http://alumni.psu.edu/jobsearch.
1:1 Mock Interview Career experts are available for a video, phone, or in-person session designed to increase confidence in job interviews. Learn to answer questions in a way that informs employers about your value. Gain feedback on practice interview questions. Sessions are limited and are based on staff availability. Please start with our other interviewing resources, including recorded and live webinars and InterviewPrep. This minimizes the need to cover basic information and enables you to get more specific and detailed feedback from your mock interview.
LinkedIn Masterclass LinkedIn Masterclass by the LinkedIn Guys is taught by two former employees at LinkedIn and current experts on optimizing LinkedIn for job search and networking success. The course, a $99 value, is offered for free to ALL members of the Penn State Alumni Association – students, alumni, and friends. Enroll online.
